First Baptist Church School is a place that believes in challenging and honoring children for who they are. Our goal is to assure educational success for all students. We currently provide an accelerated academic program that is recognized as one of the finest in the city for all of our students. Additionally, students who demonstrate superior academic achievement and intellectual aptitude may be tested for the PACE Program.

Students will receive 3 hours of instruction per week in the area of critical thinking and problem solving. Students will also engage in research and independent study.

The PACE program is looking for students with:

• Superior academic achievement
• Superior standardized test scores
• High intellectual aptitude
• A favorable teacher recommendation
• Outstanding behavior and character

Students may be recommended for testing by a teacher, parent, or others having knowledge of the student's academic ability and intellectual aptitude.

Entrance into the PACE Program requires a series of entrance exams including an intelligence test conducted by a licensed psychologist approved by the school. Fees for this testing will be paid by the parents. To register for testing, complete a nomination form and return it to the school admissions office. You will be contacted regarding test dates.

There are additional fees for this program. Every student pays a material fee of $50.00.
